Unban Coolies

About Us/Partnerships

Meet Christopher Lau, the dynamic force behind Unban Coolies, originating from the vibrant streets of Queens, New York City. As the founder, host, and producer of Unban Coolies, Christopher is on a mission to amplify voices and spark meaningful conversations. Beyond his advocacy work, he’s a fierce competitor on the volleyball court, a swimmer, and a master of math and science. He’s also a dedicated Pokémon enthusiast and a skilled chess player. When he’s not strategizing on the board, you’ll find him riding his bike around the city or hosting a monthly chess meetup to support local businesses. Fueling his adventures is a deep love for boba, the sweet nectar of life. When he’s not busy with schoolwork or his many hobbies, you’ll find Christopher at home in Queens, where he resides with his parents and younger sister, conducting interviews that resonate far beyond the borough.

Unban Coolies is enthusiastic about forming partnerships with organizations that share our values of advocating against book banning and promoting diverse representation in literature. We seek collaborations that enrich our literary experience whilst promoting empathy and diversity.  Interested organizations that align with these values are invited to contact us at director@unbancoolies.org
